Announcements:

Number usage is very tedious. Attempt to   memorize the textbook's  17 rules for when to write figures (1, 2, 35) and words (one, two, twenty-five).

Your instructor has begun the grading of Writing Assignment #3.  This means that by the end of today's class, you will need to factor  both Mechanics Quiz #9 and Writing Activity #3 into your current grade configuration.

For those wanting to work ahead:
Writing Activities #5 and #6 have been posted.  Find them in the Workspace or in the Archives.

This web site has been created by Birch Robison, Associate Professor of Reading at Hawai'i Community College, for students enrolled in English 060 (Technical Report Writing) for the 1998 Fall semester.  It is an update of a similar activity originating from the HERN '95 Institute,  held at Kapiolani Community College in July, 1995.  Questions about these Internet activities can be directed to birch@hawaii.edu.  The E60 Bulletin Board is updated two or three times a week during the semester of instruction.
