Workshops in the Area
of Online Instruction and Assistance

The Reading Lab Instructor will provide guidance and training in the development of online instructional materials and assistance and coordinate the logistics and appropriate training activities. Certain reading, writing, and computer-knowledgeable tutors will be designated to work in the project, and interested faculty will be encouraged to participate. The training will be done through a series of workshops, which will begin in the spring of 2000 and carry on through the following summer. The workshops will include such topics as utilizing the World Wide Web for instruction, creating appropriate online reading and writing activities, field-testing and editing, and online tutoring.
