Program Curriculum

Here is an outline of the best sequence of classes to follow.

You may have already taken some of the required courses in other programs offered by Hawaii Community College or other colleges. Please check with the counselors/advisors to find out how courses may be credited toward the Hospitality and Tourism AAS degree.

Courses may be offered by distance learning from Hawaii Community College or other campuses of the University of Hawaii system. Please check the distance learning Web sites for more details - www.hawaii.edu/dl.

You’ll notice that two of the courses are Cooperative Education where you will work and learn at the same time in hospitality organizations that could range from small tour companies to world-class resorts. You’ll be able to build a personal network in the business that will help you make the right decisions about your career.

Congratulations on considering increasing your understanding of the fastest growing industry on our island and building your potential for promotion. For more information please call Jim Lightner (808)322-4853, or e-mail to lightner@hawaii.edu.
