CHO Adult Residential Care Home Operator Modify Program.
Deletion of the CC in CHO. The Certificate of Completion in CHO is no longer functional due to the change in hours of the non credit Nurse's Aide course. The CC is not necessary or desirable for students completing the Adult Residential Care Home Operator courses to qualify to open a Care Home. The ARCH courses will continue to be offered but the CC will not be offered.

FIRE 101 Essentials of Fire Suppression Modify Course.
Modify corequisite from none to Fire 151, Fire 156.
Students who start the Fire Science Program need to complete Fire 101, Fire 151, Fire 156 in their first semester so that they will meet the prerequisites for all future Fire Science courses.

ART 159 History of Communication Design New Course. Course Description: ART 159 is a chronological survey of design and media art history with an emphasis on work from the Victorian Period through the present. International, political, social and technological issues are also addressed in relationship to visual arts and design disciplines. ART 249 Interface Design II New Course. Course Description:                                                                              ART 239 builds upon interface design skills learned in ART 238 interface Design. Students plan, design and build Web sites and audience specific interfaces for the internet on a more comprehensive level. Technical emphasis will be placed on learning Dynamic HyperText Markup Language (DHTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CCS).  Prerequisite: ART 238 Interface Design with a grade of C or higher or Instructor's consent. passed on 10/19/09  
ART 257 Motion Graphic Design New Course. Course Description:                                                                                                                                                                 ART 257 introduces projects that incorporate typography, shape and image within time-based presentations. Students will creatively employ and integrate the elements of time, sound, motion, typographic effects, layering and transition to focus on interactive and sequential organization of information. Prereq: ART 209 with a grade of "C" or higher, ART 212 with a grade of "C" or higher, and ART 238 with a grade of "C" or higher, or Instructor Consent

Change ALPHA form FSHN to CULN.
When FSHN 185 Nutrition ALPHA was changed to CULN, the HOST program listing of the course was not changed. This modification will not change any information in the 2009-2010 catalog except the ALPHA of FSHN 185 to CULN 185, and the description of the course.
Change course description:
The last sentence should be changed to "Designed specifically for CULN students as a Natural Science elective."
