Subject: ad hoc Committee charge

Mahalo for your willingness to serve on this important committee. The Senate looks forward to your recommendations.

The following is the charge for your committee. Kalani has agreed to serve as chair and will be contacting committee members to set up meeting times and work assignments.

Committee charge: As a result of the Academic Senate survey of faculty and lecturers about eCAFE, an ad hoc Committee is being formed to review the standard list of questions on the instrument. The standard list currently includes 18 multiple choice and 4 open-ended questions. The Committee will make recommendations to revise, delete, and/or add to this list of questions. In making its recommendations, the Committee will consult with colleagues appropriately and make its final report to the Academic Senate Chair by the last Academic Senate meeting of Fall 2009.

Other resources are also posted there that may be helpful to the committee. In addition, results of the eCAFE survey that was conducted at the end of Fall 2008 can be found at http://www.surveymonkey.com/sr.aspx?sm=lDjF3CXwArD0uvbvgPxFpfXeh1_2fGS66vHEJlZ3P_2b7jk_3d . Subjective responses can be read by clicking the View Comments link at the bottom of each question. I also have a reformatted summary of results that Annie Brown prepared. Please let me know if you’d like that sent to you.
