Hawai‘i Community College Early Childhood Education, West Hawai‘i
This program is designed to provide attitudes, skills, and knowledge for people who work with young children and their families in a variety of early childhood programs. The Certificate of Completion (C.C.) or Certificate of Achievement (C.A.) prepares students for support roles in early childhood programs. An Associate in Science (A.S.) degree prepares students to be teachers or lead practitioners in early childhood programs. The A.S. degree is articulated with UH West O‘ahu’s Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science with a concentration in Early Childhood Education.
Students taking Laboratory or Practicum courses may be required to complete fingerprinting and criminal history record checks.

Hawai‘i Community College AS Degree in Nursing (R.N.), West Hawai‘i
Courses for the Associate of Science Degree in Nursing (Registered Nurse) are offered through the University of Hawai‘i Center at West Hawai‘i (UHCWH). The next nursing class will be accepted during Spring 2008 and will start the nursing courses Fall 2008.
The 30 credits of prerequisite and corequisite courses for the nursing program are offered prior to the acceptance of each first year nursing class. Consult the schedule of courses for Hawai‘i Community College’s current offerings. (PHRM 203 can be taken from MauiCC as a distance offering.)
