It is the student's responsibility to make sure that test scores are received by the Nursing Office prior to the application deadline.
Applicants must bring to the examination two sharpened number 2 pencils and some form of picture identification. Applicants without proper identification will not be tested.
Please plan to spend approximately four hours in the examination room. The test will cover three major areas: verbal (word knowledge and reading comprehension), math (integers, fractions, decimals, percentages, basic algebra and geometry), and science (general science, health, biology, chemistry, physics). All questions are of the multiple-choice type. Practice exams can be ordered directly from the National League for Nursing. A review book, Review guide for RN Pre-Entrance Exam (ISBN 0-7637-2486-6, 2nd Edition) by the National League for Nursing may be purchased from your local book store or through the publisher, Jones and Bartlett (800-832-0034).
