Apply For Scholarships Financial Aid Hawaii Community College

Hawaii Community College offers a number of scholarships to incoming and currently enrolled students each year. Internal Scholarships are awarded through the Financial Aid Office. If funds are available and you meet the requirements, you may receive a scholarship. Hawaii Community College also processes External Scholarships awarded by individuals or organizations external to the College. Some external scholarships include, Hawai'i Community Foundation, Ke Ali'i Pauahi Foundation/ Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estate. Scholarships do not require repayment.

Note: Scholarships are widely available and competitive. Most scholarships require an application and a completed FAFSA. Many also require two or more letters of recommendation and a personal statement.

A University of Hawai ‘i scholarship site using a common on-line application for a number of scholarships with varying criteria. Includes new, continuing, and international student scholarships as well as the Regents and Presidential scholarships.

Salliemae Fund SallieMae Fund
Addressing financial need through scholarships is one of the key elements of Project Access: The Sallie Mae Fund's community-based initiative. Since 2001, The Sallie Mae Fund has awarded $7.4 million in scholarships to help over 3,000 students enroll in college.
USA Funds USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships
Up to $3 million scholarships for students with demonstrated financial need with a preference for applicants of ethnic minorities or with documented disabilities. Limited to U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens.
Bank of America Bank of America Sweepstakes
To help cover some basic school costs, the Bank of America Financial Aid Sweepstakes will award five $1,000 checks to eligible college students.
Wachovia Doubletake Wachovia Doubletake
Sweepstakes especially for college students and their schools. With Wachovia's DoubleTake program, if you win their quarterly $2,500 sweepstakes, another $2,500 goes directly to your school to help other students in need.
Hawaii Community Foundation Hawaii Community Foundation
Consists of over 120 different scholarship funds established by generous individuals, businesses, and organizations to assist Hawaii residents in obtaining a college education.
Students apply to the program and, if eligible, can be awarded from one or more of these funds.
Kamehameha Schools Scholarships Kamehameha Schools Scholarships
Kamehameha Schools (KS) Post-High Scholarships for students pursuing certificate, undergraduate and graduate level education goals. A preference is given to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry.
Ke Alii Pauahi Foundation Scholarships Ke Alii Pauahi Foundation Scholarships
Merit or need based scholarships with a preference for applicants of Hawaiian ancestry. This foundation strives to generate new and diverse sources of income to support the increasing educational needs and goals of people of Hawaiian ancestry.
UH Foundation Scholarship UH Foundation Scholarship Search
The UH Foundation is focused on raising funds, distributing those funds to UH programs according to donors' designations, managing endowments, and connecting alumni and friends to the UH.

Unfortunately, there are many offers that may sometimes resort to fraudulent and deceptive practices. Families are encouraged to check companies which have made offers by contacting the Better Business Bureau to verify if complaints have been made, or by calling the Federal Trade Commission at (202) 326-2180 for additional information.
