Come and join other students, faculty and staff as we gather to simply practice our ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi.

Design a vision board and learn effective strategies for establishing and achieving your goals. 

Workshop and supplies provided by Paepae ʻŌhua Native Hawaiian Student Support Center.

You will learn how to take care of a māla, what the different plants are, and what they are used for. Mālama ʻāina!

Attendees can learn about reintegration efforts at the state level and at the local level here in East Hawai'i and here on campus at Hawai'i CC.  Increasingly inmates released from prison at some point and time will realize that higher education can help them realign their lives in positive ways.  However being a college student ordinarily can be challenging in itself.  For reentering citizens enrolled at Hawai'i CC, attending college can be overwhelming at times.  Pu`uhonua at Hawai'i CC can offer support to these students. Please RSVP on or before February 23, 2018 to Donna Madrid (

Students need to bring a bag or box for items. Volunteers from Hawai'i CC RISO's will assist in the distribution. Emergency Food Boxes are available by contacting Claudia (895-4457) or Donna (934-2638).
