What Do We Have To Offer?

The Business Technology (formerly Office Administration and Technology) program at Hawaii Community College offers you the training to qualify for an entry level position in business, industry, or government.

The skills and knowledge I have obtained through Hawaii Community College (HawCC) has definitely made a positive impact in my life.  I came to HawCC with literally no experience in the Business Technology (formerly OAT) field.  However, through the cooperative education program, I was able to gain experience in the office environment by working at the HawCC Records Office as a student assistant and at the Corporation Counsel Family Support Division.  With these work experiences, I was able to get the feel of how the office operates.  The instructors also played an important part in my success.  Their patience and persistence taught me to never give up on my studies even when I felt I couldn’t go on.  Being a single mother and going to school fulltime and working wasn’t easy at all.   The instructors believed in me and with that I am so thankful.  My experiences at Hawaii Community College has guided me to become a better, well-rounded person and has prepared me to be able to accept a new opportunity that was recently offered to me from the  Department of Taxation Office as a Clerk III.
