What Do We Have To Offer? |
|
No matter what career you choose, success in the workplace requires managing money and resources intelligently, applying critical thinking and communications skills, and maintaining high standards of professional ethics and personal integrity. Learn & develop these skills, competencies & values by enrolling in the Hawai`i Community College Accounting Program. The Accounting Program offers the Associate in Applied Science degree. Students are prepared for entry-level positions in private and public businesses. The accounting equation and the accounting cycle, recording financial transactions and preparing financial statements are emphasized. The coursework at HawCC has definitely helped to build a foundation of accounting knowledge that is very useful at my current place of employment. In addition, it is helping me as I continue my education at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo. Upon taking my first courses in accounting at UH Hilo, I discovered that my previous accounting education gained at HawCC put me at an advantage. The hands-on experience offered at HawCC set a foundation that helped me to better understand the theorybased curriculum taught at UH Hilo. |
